On The Road With Denis & Starr/Day 32 - Saratoga Springs, NY

Sunday, November 1

Saratoga Springs, NY

Saratogians love their Horses!

Prepared by our gracious host, Kirk,
Breakfast at The Brunswick.
Eggs Benedict Florentine.
Fresh Fruit.
Banana Nut Muffins.

Today, I found a cushy little corner in the Inn's sitting room and made some progress on the blog.

Denis ventured out to experience more of the local color, geology and wildlife.

The Island Spouter
Waters flowing beneath the earth through cavities and channels of limestone and dolomite, find their way through a fault that connects with the surface.
Naturally formed carbon dioxide gas pushes its way to the surface with the water, thus forming a pulsating spouter.

My favorite tree on the way to Broadway.

Wheat Fields for dinner tonight.

Eggplant Parmigian for Denis.
For me, Fettucini Alfredo - Cappiello's Pasta, Parmesan & Parsley.
And a lovely Pinot Noir.

After dinner we strolled and window shopped.   The exotic window dressing in this store reminded us of The Roop!

Further down Broadway, we popped in to Mrs. London's again.

What to choose, what to choose?

The one in the center, of course!
The Nebula.
Dark Chocolate Mousse, Milk Chocolate Mousse, Chocolate Sponge.

Pastry box in hand, we walked home under a harvest sky.

Back in our cozy room,

We shared the Nebula and the new episode of
Mad Men.
Nothing less than Divine.
