On the way to Virginia Beach
This morning we bid farewell to our friends at the Front Street Inn in Wilmington. On the way out of town we came across this storefront and this is for you, Adrien and Ellen, (and anyone else who finds this SNL sketch hysterical).

We stopped for lunch in the little town of Washington, NC. We came across another little vintage theatre and loved the sentiment on the marquee:

We arrived in this beach town sans reservation. We checked out a few of the B & B's, but opted for a nice oceanfront room instead.
Here we are upon our arrival in Virginia Beach. That's a Viking Ship playscape that looks like it's on Denis' head!! It's really 5 stories down on the beach.

After settling in, we took a nice walk on the boardwalk and stopped in at Laverne's for our #2 Martini of the trip. Again, Dry...Vodka....Olives...
We cheered to making it through our first week of our six week road trip!
